What we do
The Hera Project name is used across a number of cycling initiatives which share the same principles of supporting women in the sport. These initiatives operate independently but share a common ethos.
The Hera Project Elite Racing Team
The Hera Project elite women’s cycling team competes in national level road and circuit racing. It operates independently of The Hera Project CIC and is funded separately through sponsorship and private support.
The Hera Project CIC
The Hera Project is a cycling initiative focused on improving opportunities for women in the sport through participation, development and mentorship.
The Hera Project CIC is a UK Community Interest Company established to deliver community-focused programmes that support women in cycling. The CIC receives support from partners including Sport Wales to help develop grassroots and development opportunities within the sport.
One of these initiatives is Venedoti Velo, a community cycling club based in North Wales. While the day-to-day activities of the club are organised by its volunteer committee, the programme is supported and overseen by The Hera Project CIC.
